DigiPower-600
DigiPower-600 is a completely digital UPS of 600VA rating. The UPS has a lot of unique features that are not available in any of the local UPS in the market. The main features are listed below
- Digital Display of Input voltage .
- Digital Display of Battery voltage
- Digital Display of output voltage when UPS active
- Digital Display of output current when UPS active
- Charging current of 4A . 100 AH battery fully charged in 24Hrs
- Digital control of battery charging eliminates battery over charge and gassing.
- MOS based High efficiency .
- Capable of connecting on the direct phase for easy installation in houses without rewiring.
- Fast tripping in case of over load.
- Loads By pass facility . No need to disturb wiring if UPS is OFF.
- Three mode of operation .ON OFF RDY
- Warning beeps when battery at 10Volt.
- UPS auto switch off when battery at 9.5V avoids deep discharge and prolong battery life.
- PW (pulse width ) based output voltage control.
Operation:
DigiPower UPS has an ON/Off switch at the front and circuit breaker at the back. As indicated in the Wiring Diagram below.

It is important to note is that The UPS can pass a load of 10A (2.2Kva ) . This means that the UPS can be connected directly to the main phase carrying the load of lights and fan of an average house. If the mains fails and the UPS goes Online it would switch off immediately if there is excess load. The load has to be reduced and the UPS ON switch has to be pressed to activate it again.
ON Switch Pressing this would activate the UPS from OFF position.
The display would show RdY if there is A/C present .It would show ON if there is no A/C and the UPS output would be available at the out socket.
OFF Switch Pressing this switch would disable the UPS .However battery charging would still continue. The display would Show OFF . if the A/C fails then the Ups would not activate and there would be no output on the terminal.
Panel LEDs
UPS On Glows when the UPS is active
Mains Off Glows when there is no A/C input
Over Load Glows when the UPS switches OFF because of extra load
Battery Low Glows when the UPS switches OFF because of Battery Low
Displayed Information
rdY Short for Ready This is displayed when there is A/C power available and the UPS is in standby mode
OFF The UPS is not in standby and would not activate on loss of A/C. This can either be due to pressing the panel switch or because of UPS auto off as a result of Over load or Battery Low.
ON The UPS is active
b. 12.5 The Battery Voltage is 12.5 (Value shown is for clarity actual value would be different)
c. 1.1 The current (load level) is 1.1 A .This is displayed when UPS is in ON state. The UPS would switch OFF when the current is 3.A however it is recommended the current level should be kept below 2.5A .Since drawing more power would drain the battery fast. And it would also reduce its life.
i. 234 Input line voltage is 234v.
o. 233 The output from UPS is 233 volt .This is only displayed when the UPS is active.
Installation
The most important thing for the installation of the UPS is that The Phase and neutral connections on the plug (input) and socket (output) should be connected correctly (As per indication). Ignoring this would result in short circuit and damage to the UPS.
The UPS should be placed at a well ventilated and covered place. It is important that there should be passage of air as the battery charging result in generation of gasses that are toxic in nature.
The battery should be placed close to the UPS.
The Battery RED (+) positive terminal should be connected to the RED lead. The Black lead should be connected to the (-) negative terminal. Wrong connection can result in damage to the UPS.
The connection should be through the three pin plug (provided ) so as to eliminate the possibility of reversal during connection. TWO pin plug should not be used for input or output.
Check battery water at least once every 15 days.
